Feb 13th, 2008: So tonight I decided to make a list of the documentaries I've seen, since I know you lie awake wondering. Here is a list of 158 of them in no particular order, mostly culled from my Netflix rental history. I assume I've missed about 10, any ideas as to what I've skipped?

243: Sex: The Annabel Chong Story: Have you ever thought to yourself, I wonder if I can have sex with 300 men in a row and pass it off as some sort of feminist exercise? Annabel Chong has. Netflix, 2/5
244: Gunnin For That #1 Spot: Top high school basketball players come together for a game. I love watching talented athletes, and the movie did a good job of mixing human interest stories, analysis of hypercompetitive youth sports, and the actual game. Also, amazing hip-hop soundtrack, directed by one of the Beastie Boys. 4.5/5, Hulu
245: Google Me: Regular guy goes looking for people who also have his name and their stories. Staged scenes, a lot of focus on the filmmaker..masturbation in documentary form. Hulu, 1/5.
246: Summercamp!: A summer...at a camp. Kids being kids, a mostly lighthearted narrative. 2.5/5
247: Orthodox Stance: An orthodox Jewish boxer. Nuff said. 3.5/5
248: Digital Nation: As the information age draws on, are we learning and teaching in the same ways? We are all deeply immersed in a digital world, but are we drowning? 5/5 (for content more than style)
249: Stupidity: The rise and spread ignorance and active stupidity. Could have been so. much. better. 2/5
250: Only When I Dance: Dancers from Brazilian favelas try and make it out. 3/5
251: Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work: I really wish it dwelled more on her early career, but overall a good reminder that there is always more behind the curtain. 4/5
252: Between the Folds: An examination of origami and the surprising roles it plays in our world. 3/5
253: Pageant: A competition documentary tracking a few of the fabulous contestants vying to be Miss Gay America.
254: Prodigal Sons: A transgendered woman returns to her hometown and has to deal with her volatile brother. 3/5
255: More Than A Game: Fun, well-paced doc on a group of high school basketball players, including LeBron. 4/5
256: Objectified: It's a movie about objects. Form, function, design, manufacturing, etc. I wish I liked it more. 2.5/5
257: I Think We're Alone Now: Remember the 80s star Tiffany? The two subjects of this documentary have never forgotten. An autistic guy and a gender..ambivalent? neutral? person have some intense issues, but the doc manages to remain light (in a good way). 5/5
258: Keep the River on the Right: Old guy went native for a while. I don't remember much about this movie, but I think I found it interesting. 2.5/5
259: The September Issue: The real life Devil Wears Prada. It's always fun to peek backstage. 3/5
260: No Impact Man: A man (hemp)ropes his family into living completely naturally in NYC for a year. 2/5
261: We Live in Public: The first 24 hour webcam experiment and the guy behind it. 4/5
262: American Swing: The rise and fall of Plato's Retreat, a sex club in 70s NYC. 3/5
263: The Komediant: A intriguing peek into both a family and the forgotten legacy of Yiddish Theater. 2.5/5
264: Fetishes: From the same director as Chicken Ranch, this weird and oddly amateurish doc was just...weird, but not in the good, fetishy way. 1/5.
265: I'm No Dummy: Interview-focused history of Ventriloquism with some fun archival footage interspersed. Treated it with an appropriate amount of whimsy, but wasn't stupid and revolting. 3/5
266: Haze: College hazing and alcohol abuse following the senseless death of a fratboy. Shockingly well-done. 4/5
